Programs (16th to 21st February 2008)
The 6-day programs will include not only traditional birthday celebrations for His Holiness the Twelfth Gyalwang Drukpa, spiritual head of the Drukpa Lineage, but also an important event for the lineage - the official recognition of female's efforts on the spiritual path, i.e. the promotion of Tenzin Palmo. Promotion of Tenzin Palmo to Jetsunma. Born Diane Perry in East End of London, Tenzin Palmo grew up as the daughter of a fishmonger and became a Buddhist while in her teens. A brief biography of Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo.
